GoDaddy Marketing Strategy

GoDaddy is an American publicly traded Internet domain registrar and web hosting company headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona. Not only does it offer a platform for building a website, but it also offers everything one might need to create an effective, memorable online presence. GoDaddy also provides a hub for domain auctions, GoAuction, where users can list their domain names for sale and bid on other names. Another service is GoValue, a tool that shows the average value of any given domain name. In addition to those services, GoDaddy also offers data security and website design services (GoDaddy Inc. About Us).

Uniquely, GoDaddy has also capitalized on its web presence and digital marketing abilities. In a time as crazy and unpredictable as today, GoDaddy has been able to take advantage of changes in businesses across the nation in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and show companies that its online presence is more important than ever. In the midst of this, GoDaddy has also been pushing its search engine optimization capabilities, social media marketing strategies, business listings, as well as email marketing services available to customers. GoDaddy has proven itself to be ahead of the curve in terms of online services and has been taking advantage of the direction our world seems to be moving towards.

GoDaddy has also had good fortune when it comes to business applications. Some of the biggest resources used by businesses have been email marketing services, online marketing and data storage that GoDaddy offers. In addition to these abilities, there has been a massive flood of cloud applications within the last few years. With the Microsoft Office suite available as a Cloud service, GoDaddy is no longer responsible for the large capital investment or licensing required at a company’s initial entrance to the web market.

GoDaddy has always been known for its excessive and unique marketing strategies. With the Covid-19 pandemic, many people have become interested in starting new business ventures and GoDaddy jumped at the opportunity. They shifted their marketing approach to appeal to those just starting out and offered new customer incentives (Stewart, 2020). While this was undoubtedly costly, the surge in demand for web hosting services will definitely pay off for GoDaddy financially within the next year.
